Hi! I'm Jacob Garcia. I'm a journalist and filmmaker with a passion for telling stories and creating connections. I've worked with national media companies, digital non-profits that reach millions, up-and coming musicians, and award-winning documentary filmmakers.
I just wrapped up a year-long Newsroom Fellowship with WBUR, Boston's NPR Station. While there, I helped streamline the station's social video, produced several podcasts, and of course, reported on the Boston-area.
Before joining WBUR, I was a multimedia journalist for GBH News' arts & culture desk where I not only wrote but also produced, shot and/or edited video packages for YouTube, broadcast, and the PBS Newshour.
I'm also a freelance producer/editor for Inequality Media where I help inform the public on different inequalities with Former Labor Secretary, Robert Reich.
All potential collaborators should feel free to reach out!
